Warlocks can have a remarkable level of summoning power with Prismatic. The Final Shape has allowed Warlocks to delve into the fantasy of 'space magic' and wield every element at once, combining buddies from Arc, Solar, and Stasis to build yourself your own fireteam. Here we will show our favorite Prismatic Warlock Build, and how to set it up.

Best Prismatic Warlock Build

For our Prismatic Warlock build, we're going to be combining a ton of different subclasses and using a rather old and forgotten-about Exotic armor piece.

Exotics

Getaway Artist makes this build remarkably fun and incredibly powerful. The Sentient Arc Soul buddy means you have an extra source of firepower, allowing you to finish off enemies that little bit quicker. This comes in handy in high-level content, and is a simple addition to this build.

Another benefit of this build is the lack of need for an Exotic Weapon. While certain Exotics like Sunshot or Red Death may be very useful, they are by no means necessary meaning you can use whatever weapons you like without having to worry about an Exotic Weapon.

Abilities

Song of Flame is recommended due to its raw power and strength. With the release of The Final Shape, you'll be hard pressed to find a Super that is as powerful and as popular as Song of Flame, granting a ridiculous level of damage reduction and remarkable damage, it's the clear winner here.

Incinerator Snap and Arcane Needle are both amazing. Incinerator Snap will give more raw damage and will build your Light meter nicely. Snap is especially good during transcendence, as you can spam the ability due to the improved ability regeneration. However, Arcane Needle is great, too and allows us to take advantage of Facet of Devotion as Arcane Needle will unravel the target upon hitting.

Storm Grenade is required in this build as Getaway Artist only functions with Arc Grenades, meaning in order to get your little Arc buddy on the go, you'll need an Arc Grenade to consume.

Aspects

Feed the Void is amazing for this build. Due to Getaway Artist requiring a Grenade to work, Devour's Grenade regeneration comes in clutch here. On top of this, Devour gives the build some much-needed survivability thanks to the health on kill provided.

Bleak Watcher works great with this build too. When you consume your Arc Grenade, you will spawn a Bleak Watcher turret at your feet, allowing you to effectively spam them throughout the arena thanks to how many Grenades we will be getting through our mods and Devour.

Fragments

The following Fragments are beneficial. However, this build functions mostly off of Aspects, and some here can be replaced for personal preference.

  • Facet of Protection is always a bonus as it grants a flat percentage of damage resistance which is not something to scoff at. More survivability is never a bad thing.
  • Facet of Purpose adds to the healing in this build. Due to our Super choice of Song of Flame, picking up an Orb of Power will grant us Restoration for a brief period.
  • Facet of Dawn is a great flex pick here, as Radiant is always a bonus. On top of this, when paired with Arcane Needle, you can activate Radiant three times, thanks to the number of melee charges available with this melee.
  • Facet of Ruin is, again, another utility pick. We will be freezing a ton of enemies thanks to our Bleak Watcher aspect. This means that Facet of Ruin will constantly be utilised, granting bonus damage when shattering the frozen target.
  • Facet of Devotion is an excellent choice here as the Light bar for Transcendence can sometimes lag behind, thanks to all the Stasis damage going on from Bleak Watcher. Arc Souls may not be enough to keep the bar going, so defeating any slowed target will grant us some bonus energy.

Weapons

As mentioned previously, there isn't a demand to run a certain Exotic Weapon. This gives you the liberty to run utility weapons like The Call and perhaps run Demolitionist on it to boost your Grenade recharge rate even further.

On top of this, you could opt for an Exotic Primary for solid weapon damage. Sunshot or Red Death would fit very nicely in the Energy slot as a workhorse weapon to clear adds with.

Armor Mods

The following mods are incredibly beneficial for this build:

  • Helmet: Siphon mod matching your primary weapon, Heavy Ammo Finder, and Heavy Ammo Scout
  • Arms: Impact Induction, Focusing Strike, and a reloader mod matching your primary weapon
  • Chest: Damage resistance mods matching your enemy's damage type
  • Legs: Innervation, Absolution, and a surge matching your primary weapon
  • Bond: Time Dilation, Bomber, and Distribution

Given how important Orbs are for us, having a Siphon mod act as an orb-generating tool on our Helmet is great. Pairing this with Heavy Ammo Finder, Heavy Ammo Scout, and an Exotic Primary will mean we are printing Heavy Ammo for ourselves and the rest of our fireteam.

Two copies of Impact Induction is nice here as it provides an extra boost to Grenade energy whenever we deal some powered melee damage. Using a reloader mod for your primary weapon is a nice quality-of-life choice.

Damage resistance mods are very standard on a chest piece, and while they may not be flashy, they definitely make a difference.

Combining Innervation and Absolution allows us to return around 15% energy on our Grenade for every single orb pickup. On top of this, thanks to all the Orbs of Power we generate, having a Surge mod on to boost our main add-clearing weapon to help our Getaway Artist finish off low-hp targets is great.

Time Dilation is a nice pick to help out our Surge timer and give us more time to enjoy the bonus 10% damage. Bomber and Distribution are also both great, giving us 16% Grenade energy whenever we pop our Rift which is very helpful for those times where we may lose Devour.
